Rumours are buzzing that the Dutch
Manchester United manager, Louis van Gaal, is looking to recruit 3 star new
players.
Dortmund's Mats Hummels in action |
United are well in front with a bid over
$48 million for the Borussia Dortmund defender and German International Mats
Hummels. Hummels rejected United’s offer last season, but with Dortmund’s
rather bad season and United playing in the 2015/16 Champion’s League, it is
looking likely that he will be in the red soon.
Dutchman Memphis Depay skilling it up in the 2014 World Cup |
Various news outlets are reporting the
inevitable signing of Dutch, PSV left winger, Memphis Depay. Depay is an
extremely skillful player who would have
been on many teams radars after he had an incredible 2014 World Cup alongside
star Netherlands players Arjen Robben and United striker Robin van Persie.
Depay’s PSV teammate Georginio Wijnaldum
has declared that he “wants to play in a stronger league than the Eredivisie”,
trying to tempt his former mentor Louis van Gaal to recruit him.
Manchester United are a strong club, one of
the top 5 in England. They aren't lacking money and aren't afraid to go out on
a limb to recruit young players that could turn into stars. It will be
interesting to see who they do end up recruiting.
